Beginning on the Wright‑Hamilton County line at a point near the SE Corner Section 35‑T90N‑R24W, Wright County, (NE Corner Section 2‑T89N‑R24W, Hamilton County); then northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 36, 25, 24 13 and 12‑T90N‑R24W to a point approximately 1,100 feet south of the W ¼ Corner Section 12‑T90N‑R24W; then in a northeasterly, northerly and northwesterly direction through the west part of Section 12‑T90N‑R24W to a point approximately 900 feet south of the NW Corner Section 12‑T90N‑R24W; then northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 12 and 1‑T90N‑R24W and Sections 36, 25, 24, 13, 12 and 1‑T91N‑R24W to a point near the NW Corner Section 1‑T91N‑R24W (S. junction Iowa 3); then easterly following substantially the section line of Section 1‑T91N‑R24W to a point approximately 1,200 feet west of the SW Corner Section 36‑T92N‑R24W; then curving in a northeasterly direction to a point approximately 1,200 feet north of the SE Corner Section 36‑T92N‑R24W; then northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 31, (N. junction Iowa 3), 30 19, 18, 7 and 6‑T92N‑R23W and Sections 31 and 30‑T93N‑R23W to the south corporation line of Belmond, connecting with River Avenue.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

US 69 begins on the Wright‑Hamilton County line approximately 7 miles west of the SE corner of Wright County, and travels generally northerly via Belmond to the Wright‑Hancock County line approximately 4 miles north of Belmond, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records US 69 in Wright County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of US 69 in Wright County be deleted and the new description included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
